Personal Life

Outside of work I love playing with my dog, playing board games, and travelling around the world!

Apollo, the Rough Collie

Apollo joined my family in 2018 as a 10 week old puppy. He’s been an absolute light in my life ever since and has taught me many important lessons.

Apollo taught me patience. Training a puppy is no easy feat and it requires a lot of patience.

He helped me learn to enjoy the little things in life. No matter how many toys he has, he always enjoys a good stick even more.

Board Games

Board games are a great way to enjoy time with friends but I have found they have so much more to offer than just a good time.

Mysterium is my favorite board game. It is easy to learn for all skill levels and can be fun in small or big groups.

Ransom Notes is a challenging game of making the most out of the words you are given.

The Isle of Cats is a fun game that is like playing Tetris with cute cats. It requires a lot of planning and strategizing.

Traveling

I have always been fascinated with other cultures, hence my degree in Anthropology, and I am fortunate to have travelled to several different countries to experience just a few of the world’s many cultures.

I have been to Japan twice and studied Japanese in the past (although my skills have gotten a bit rusty!). Being there reminds me to slow down and appreciate the moment.

I went to Puerto Rico in 2019. While there, I went hiking in El Yunque National Forest and went snorkeling for the first time.

In March 2018, I went to Iceland and while there, climbed to the top of the Skógafoss waterfall. It was a long, arduous journey but well worth it for the amazing views at the top.
